As, to me, there is nothing more beautiful to add to a cake than fresh flowers, it was music to my ears when Pamela told me that she wanted a heap of fresh flowers between each tier. I totally loved the cake choice for this wedding and Pamela and Ashley had so many personal touches added to the venue, making it look out of this world! Congratulations Guys!
I had so much fun with these lot!! What a busy busyweek! Ruth came up with every idea you see here and I loved bringing them to life, or er, should I say cake?! Hanging Cake with Star Wars Opening on the back was Fruit, Double Choc and Vanilla and Strawberry. Groom's Cake was Cherry Madeira and the Cupcakes and Cake Pops were Vanilla, Lemon, Blueberry, Red Velvet, Chocolate and Salted Caramel, Coconut and Double Chocolate! The Cake Pop Stands made by the very talented Wooden Treats and Rustic Weddings! Big Congrats to the lovely couple X
The second of today's wedding cakes was made for the fabulous Carrie and David whose wedding venue was @ The Dunadry. From bottom to top tier: Double Chocolate and Salted Caramel, Vanilla and Strawberry, Blackforest, and finally, Apple, Cinnamon and Custard! Big Congrats to the Newlyweds X
This cake was made for the wedding of Lisa and Matthew whose wedding venue was at Grace Hall! Fresh flowers by "Flowers by Mee". Congratulations Matthew and Lisa X
This wedding cake is mega unique in that it is coated in a mirror glaze! It is fun, effective and daring! The idea for this was completely stolen from Russian Confectioner Olga, who very generously shared her recipe to achieve the mirror glaze effect.
I have a loooong way to go before I could ever achieve a finish like hers! She is amazing! Check her work out here!-
Although I don't for a second claim to be in this lady's league, if I find out about a new confectionary method, I can't leave alone!! Just gotta try it!! X
Today in the Love Weddings Studio we had a serious tasting session going on. Lovely to meet all the lovely couples and thank you for your bookings! Below are some of the delights we had on offer today which included raspberry and white chocolate, black forest gateaux, double chocolate fudge, carrot cake, strawberry and vanilla and red velvet cakes plus lemon, strawberry, Milky Bar and Cadbury's macaroons!
Kicking Off Wedding Season with the lovely Rebecca and Kyle's (from Mama's Pizza, Moira- https://www.facebook.com/Mamas-Pizzeria-669906786368183/). I've had a fair few Mama's in my time, so great to make them something for a change! If they enjoy the cake as much as I do their pizza's, I'll be doing well! X
